Choosing for sustainable materials
We strive to work with non-artificial materials, such as 100% New Zealand wool, linen, silk… We source and evaluate our fabrics for their sustainable properties. We constantly look to add eco-fibres to our collection, such as ECONYL and seaweed which will both soon be added to our material library. As of the record, we were the first company to produce a sustainable and recycled outdoor rug, named Poolside.
Producing on demand
To avoid overproduction, we minimize our waste by only producing according to demand. This ‘on-demand’ plan provides quality assurances to our customers while enhancing our performance as a sustainable manufacturer.
Renewing & reusing
From mill to factory: all of our buildings are equipped with photovoltaic panels, converting sunlight into electricity. These 2550 panels provide all the energy we need for at least 7 months a year. We also reuse wherever we can. Techniques like water decanting and oxygenation make it possible to reuse our water. Our factory buildings are well isolated and equipped with reversible heat pumps to control cooling and heating…
Reducing the carbon footprint
We create, design and produce in Belgium, by which we reduce our gas emission. We also invested in a dyeing- and a wool spinning mill, which are both located only a few blocks away from our headquarters.
